Granite or Quartz?  The main difference between Granite and Quartz is that Granite is a completely natural stone while quartz is still real stone it has manmade qualities added.  Granite is much more susceptible to heat damage, acidic damage, and is fragile.  While Quartz more durable, and is virtually maintenance-free.  If something does go wrong with your Quartz countertop it is much easier to fix and the color will match much more closely than a Granite repair.
